To ensure you get the most out of your new pieces, we have put together some information on how to care for your set. Instructions vary depending on items and colour finishes so please read the below thoroughly.
Brushed Silver or Polished Silver:
These sets are 18/10 Stainless Steel which is the perfect material for cutlery. It is hard wearing and corrosion resistant.
- Brushed Silver and Polished Silver cutlery can be washed in the dishwasher.
- Wash your pieces before their first use with warm water and any mild household detergent.
- Acidity and salt in food can cause damage to stainless steel if left unwashed too long. Make sure you clean your pieces after every use to keep them in top condition.
- Do not leave your cutlery to soak.
- Never use an abrasive cloth or scourer, this will cause irreparable scratches.
- Dry your pieces before putting them away with a soft, lint free cloth as detergent and water will leave marks or rust spots if left to air dry.
- Use a soft, lint free cloth with hot water and vinegar to clean your pieces if marks occur.
- Over time and depending on it's use, KROF cutlery will show signs of wear. As with all tools, this is completely normal.
Matte Black:

This finish is 18/10 Stainless Steel with a robust black titanium coating applied using Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD).
- Matte Black cutlery can be washed in the dishwasher.
- Wash your pieces before their first use with warm water and any mild household detergent.
- Rinse your cutlery before placing in the dishwasher.
- Acidity and salt in food can cause damage to stainless steel if left unwashed too long. Make sure you clean your pieces after every use to keep them in top condition.
- Do not leave your cutlery to soak.
- Never use an abrasive cloth or scourer, this will cause irreparable scratches to the coating.
- Dry your pieces before putting them away with a soft, lint free cloth as detergent and water will leave marks or rust spots if left to air dry.
- Use a soft, lint free cloth with hot water and vinegar to clean your pieces if marks occur.

Brushed Gold & Champagne Gold:

This finish is 18/10 Stainless Steel with a coloured coating applied using Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). PVD creates a vibrant colour that if cared for using the below instructions, will stay bright for years to come.
- Brushed Gold and Champagne Gold are hand wash only and are not dishwasher safe. Wash gently with warm soapy water and mild household detergent, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. Dishwashers and dishwasher tablets can corrode the PVD coating.
- Dry your pieces before putting them away with a soft, lint free cloth as detergent and water will leave marks or rust spots if left to air dry.
- Use mild dishwashing detergent only.
- Wash your pieces before their first use with warm water and any mild household detergent.
- Acidity and salt in food can cause damage to stainless steel if left unwashed too long. Make sure you clean your pieces after every use to keep them in top condition.
- Do not leave your cutlery to soak.
- Dry your pieces before putting them away with a soft, lint free cloth as detergent and water will leave marks or rust spots if left to air dry.

Steak Knives:
Like all high-quality kitchen knives, a dishwasher can be your steak knife's worst enemy. The jump from hot to cold, the harsh detergents and the knocking around inside a dishwasher can shorten the life of a knife significantly and dull its sharp edge faster than anything else. Our Matte Black and Brushed Silver finishes are resistant to dishwasher damage, but the blades themselves are not, so we recommend hand washing all KROF steak knives.
- Champagne Gold steak knives are hand wash only. Never put them in the dishwasher.
- Wash by hand in warm soapy water with a mild detergent, then dry straight away with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Don't leave your knives to soak.
- Store them so the blades aren't knocking against other utensils.
- Never use an abrasive cloth or scourer.
- Sharpen with a pull-through knife sharpener, which works only on the cutting edge and is gentle on the blade's finish. Avoid whetstones and any method that rubs across the face of the blade, as these can scratch or wear the finish. A fine line of bare steel along the very edge after sharpening is normal.

Iβve been using KROF since they first launched and have loved them ever since. They have such a premium look and feel, with a beautiful weight to them while still being sleek and slimline. They work perfectly for filming recipe content and styling food for work, but are also genuinely lovely to eat with day to day. I also recently received the steak knives and theyβre incredible.

I have had many types of knifes and forks etcβ¦. Simply because I love luxury items and I would consider very highly that the new KROF range is very much a luxury item for the dinner table. The design is very unique - if you look closely and the non bend of the materials is an outstanding feature. KROF colours, finishes and the overall look and feel is luxurious - even for the bigger size man. So I will be making a second purchase for more of the KROF product so I have enough to suit at least 8 guests. The great thing also is that my kids love the design and feel too. The dinner table we think is a place where everyone can get together and relax, eat great food, laugh and all with the touch of luxury in their hands. An outstanding product from Australia yet again.

The black cutlery is elegant and attractive. The fork is lovely to use. However, the the base of the knife, having a square profile, is a little uncomfortable to use.
