KROF Commercial Warranty

(Hospitality & Professional Use)

Scope of This Warranty

This Commercial Warranty applies to KROF cutlery used in professional hospitality environments, including but not limited to restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, catering businesses, event venues, and commercial kitchens.

Commercial use places significantly higher demands on cutlery than domestic use. As a result, warranty coverage differs from our standard consumer warranty.


Warranty Period

  • 6 months from date of purchase for commercial use

  • Applies only to products purchased directly from KROF or an authorised KROF stockist

  • Proof of purchase is required for all claims


What Is Covered

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship, including:

  • Structural faults present at the time of manufacture

  • Handle separation or failure not caused by impact, misuse, or chemical damage

  • Manufacturing flaws identified under normal commercial handling

At KROF’s discretion, approved claims will result in repair, replacement, or credit.


What Is Not Covered

The following are not covered under the Commercial Warranty:

Normal Commercial Wear

  • Scratches, scuffs, and surface abrasion

  • Fading, dulling, or patina development

  • Blade marking from plate contact

  • Cosmetic changes consistent with high-frequency service use

Coatings & Finishes

  • PVD finishes (Gold, Champagne Gold, Black) showing fading, colour change, or wear

  • Damage caused by commercial dishwashers, rinse aids, detergents, sanitisers, or heat cycles

  • Chemical corrosion from acidic, alkaline, or chlorinated wash environments

Dishwashing & Cleaning

  • Damage caused by:

    • Commercial dishwashers

    • Industrial detergents or tablets

    • Rinse aids

    • Soaking

    • Prolonged moisture exposure

  • Failure to follow KROF care guidelines

Misuse or Improper Handling

  • Dropping, bending, or impact damage

  • Use outside intended purpose

  • Improper storage or transport

  • Modifications or repairs by third parties


Important Finish Guidance for Hospitality

Due to the nature of commercial kitchens:

  • PVD-coated cutlery is not recommended for commercial dishwasher use

  • For hospitality environments, Brushed Silver or Polished Silver stainless steel finishes are strongly recommended

  • Use of PVD finishes in commercial settings is at the operator’s discretion and outside cosmetic warranty coverage


Claim Process

To submit a commercial warranty claim, please provide:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Description of the issue

  • Clear photographs of the affected items

  • Details of the cleaning and washing process used

Assessment timeframes may vary depending on volume and claim complexity.


Limitation of Liability

This warranty does not cover indirect loss, loss of service, loss of revenue, or replacement hire costs.

KROF’s liability is limited to the original purchase price of the affected product.


Care & Maintenance Responsibility

Continued performance of KROF cutlery in commercial environments depends on correct handling and cleaning.
